There are certain songs that when played for the first time, induce a feeling of complete shock and awe, leaving the listener with that love-at-first-sight feeling of, “holy shit, this is the one for me.” Skream’s remix of “Jah No Partial” is one of those songs.
That drop is just…I don’t even know. It comes stomping after you; relentless, hungry, downright scary at times, like a twisted horror movie with a way-too-enjoyable reggae track playing in the background. It creates a completely novel sonic experience (which is extremely hard to do in 2013), and results in a track that’s immediately destined to become one of those classic remixes we look back on down the line.
